Dumpster versus junk removal. What's the difference?
So, you’re embarking on a project, and trying to determine whether to rent a roll off dumpster, or hire a junk removal company. Each has its benefits, and the answer lies in a few considerations.
Use our guide and suggestions here as you determine whether a dumpster rental, or junk removal company are the right solutions for your project. Junk Removal Companies: Junk removal companies are exceptional options for a number of projects. Generally, after scheduling, a junk removal team will come to your location with a large truck and a crew, and load your junk into their vehicle. Then they take your stuff to a landfill and that’s it. They generally expect for your stuff to be staged, either at the curb, or in a garage or other accessible location. Some crews offer special services like garage cleanouts, attic or basement purges, or other services that may make your life easier. Some can take appliances, some can’t. Some can take sheds and hot tubs, some can’t. Most will not take any type of hazardous material. Most junk removal crews also won’t hang out at your property while you gather your stuff up. They arrive, load up, and head to their next job. Some will charge a waiting or idle fee after a set amount of time. But this doesn’t make them a bad option. If you have a small to moderate amount of junk and garbage, a junk removal crew may be perfect. They’ll also generally be slightly less expensive, or as expensive as some types of dumpsters, so there could be a cost savings. We urge you to do your research! Consider a junk removal crew for these applications:
Dumpster rental service: A roll off dumpster rental is a great solution for larger projects, or if you are unsure how long your project might take, or how much junk it might produce. With dumpster rentals, the dumpster rental company will work with you to deliver your dumpster at the time and place of your choosing. The crew should answer any questions you have, and leave you to your project. Then, you’ll have as much time as your contract allows to fill the dumpster with junk and trash, before the company returns to collect your dumpster. If you require more time with your dumpster, you can normally request an extension, for a cost. When its time, the company returns, loads up the dumpster, and takes it, and its contents to a landfill. That’s it. Consider a dumpster rental for these circumstances and applications:
In some cases, the combination of a junk removal company and dumpster rental service could be useful, but that will depend on your project and your circumstances.
